Hello! My name is Ulrich Beinert and I am the photographer who has produced the work on this website. Astronomy has fascinated me since I my early childhood. A book about astrophotography got me to start taking pictures of the objects I enjoyed watching at night. Though I am interested in bringing home "pretty pictures" from my expeditions, one of the main reasons I do astronomy is because I admire the beauty of the night sky. It is an extremely emotional experience, which I enjoy even without any telescope, just with my own two eyes.
