Conjunction

06-April 2000

A spectacular conjunction of the Moon, Saturn (upper left), Jupiter and Mars (right side, left and right; respectively).

One by one, the planets emerged from the evening twilight on a day with amazingly good weather for such a fine sight. (I am used to bad weather whenever there is something interesting to see!)

Several hours later, the largest auroral storm in 11 years started, but I had unfortunately gone to sleep.
