Hello! My name is Ulrich Beinert. Astronomy has fascinated me since I my early childhood. Though I am interested in bringing home "pretty pictures" from my expeditions, one of the main reasons I do astronomy is because I admire the beauty of the night sky. It is an extremely emotional experience, which I enjoy most without any telescope, just with my own two eyes. When I'm not out looking at the night sky, I'm usually going after one of my other hobbies, mainly gardening, nature photography, cooking and baking.
