Welcome! I am a 26-year-old amateur astronomer and have been attempting to capture the beauty of the night sky on conventional film and the CCD chips of various digital cameras and webcams since 1997. This website is my way of sharing the results of those efforts, providing a valuable resource for others aspiring to similar images and a place for lovers of the night sky to indulge in its fantastic show of lights. My goal is to produce a good-looking but minimalistic exhibition of my work, so I'm sorry if you're looking for flashy animations and high-tech programming, because you won't find them here. But I am sure you will enjoy your stay, and you too may come to realize that simplicity can look really good.

If you have been here on a regular basis, you will have noticed that nearly nothing has happened in the past years. That won't change much for the next six months, as I am working on my thesis in aeronautical engineering. I have just removed all of the articles from this site, as I simply don't have the time to keep them up to date and add new ones. Eventually, this site will feature only photographs I have taken of the sky - including photos from my job as an airline pilot.
