Sunset

Time-Lapse

Six exposures of the setting sun show the "diagonal" path of the sun and other astronomical objects across the sky, requiring an equatorial mount for photography.

I metered the exposure required at the beginning, divided by 6 because I knew it was 1 more hour until sunset and I wanted an exposure every 10 minutes to get 1/3000 second at f/11.

The last exposure could have been doubled for an even brightness, but this way, it shows very well how the light reaching us diminishes as the sun dips lower. It also adds a slightly twilight-like touch to the picture.
